LFC Fans Speaking on Behalf of the Deceased, Mystic Meg Mind Reading Abilities and Using Stan Collymore's Expertise as a Font of Knowledge

Something that always makes me wonder is why fans vehemently against Benitez always believe they know exactly how someone is thinking just by watching them on TV.

Not only do they second guess the emotions of a player or manager they have never met, but they seem well within reason to pronounce the opinion of someone who passed away some years ago.

"Shanks would be turning in his grave if he knew what Benitez was doing to this club"
In my opinion he would be turning in his grave if he witnessed the disgusting behaviour of some of this club's so called supporters.

But just because I think he might react that way doesn't mean he actually would, or that I would or should pronounce to the world this is exactly what he would be doing or thinking if he was still with us today.

Even in the early years of Bill Shankly there was supporters with "the best interests of the club in mind" who claimed they would pay his taxi fare back to Scotland just to get him out of Anfield.

Fed up with his hit and miss wheeler dealing, wasting of money on players not fit to wear the shirt, and a failure to win the first division title in his first season. (yes I know the club was in the second division during Shankly's first campaign)

Who's to say the great Bill Shankly would not have suffered the same results as Benitez in the modern era?

If the Scot had to deal with a lack of title winning finacial backing on a constant basis; a boardroom making decisions on his behalf in regaurds to purchasing players and their value; other clubs fighting for the league who are streets ahead in terms of wealth and infrastructure; and a sickening propaganda campaign fuelled by the internet, that dwarves the abuse that was thrown around in the 70s and 80s?

He was apparentely pretty close to walking away from Anfield until he gained the boardroom level control and backing he needed to do his job properly, so judging by the handcuffs placed on the current manager it's no stretch of the imagination to think he would have stepped down long ago.

Again, this is all just theory based opinion on a small amount of information in the public domain. Certainly not enough for me to scream from the roof tops my view that I am inside the head of a dead person and the spirits are channeling his every thought through me.

"Just look at Steven Gerrard; his body language proves he has no faith in the players around him, the mediocre players bought to the club by Benitez"

Clutching at straws instantly springs to mind. In comparison to the positives, there has always been an incredibly small of amount of logic or negatives that Benitez should leave the club, and this sort of comment proves to me that people really are running out of arguments to attack the manager.

Especially when you hear them recycle the runny guff found in the Stan "The Man" Collymore column in The Mirror.

The Anti-Rafa hate mob with pitchforks, lighted torches, and a worryingly rabid foaming at the mouth will always highlight ex-players turned "expert" pundits; managers who stopped managing a decade ago who now only get job offers from Sky TV; and the made up opinons of long since deceased managers as some sort of factual proof that the football world stands alongside them and their manifesto.

Convieniantly ignoring the football players who are actually still playing at the top level, or the world class managers who are still in the game plying their trade, all who have come out in defence of Rafa Benitez on more than one occasion.

Hell we even have rival supporters standing up for the Spaniard and how their pretty shocked and disgusted with the treatment he gets from both the media and his club's own fans.

Speaking on behalf of the dead, Big Brother style body language analysis, and using Stan Collymore as a font of knowledge on how to manage a football team speaks volumes.

Logic and debating skills fit for the Jeremy Kyle Show.

Outside of England the contrast in opinion of the current Liverpool manager amongst supporters and followers of the game is huge, especially with clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus et al chasing the Spaniard.

But the incredible conviction and sheer dedication in the face of reality from the Benitez baiters really does make you wonder if maybe the pitch weilding hate mob and the unsuccesful bitter ex-managers really do see something that the rest of us dont.

They do after all speak on behalf of the dead, so maybe their mystic meg predictions will come true after all.
